Camp Videogasm will once again be showing our brand of video art at Snowflake Village. Our plans for this year include a larger screen, more interactivity, and possibly a small stage area for live performance. We'll be expecting somewhere between 20 and 30 people. Hey with all these Vikings... I should probably round up some good Viking films. Any suggestions?

Jim and I will be back! We wanted to do an installment of our own, but we couldn't scare up enough people to help us get it done and there. So, once again we'll be happy to contribute to anyone who needs it. Valhalla would be perfect for us. Contact: angelak@new.rr.com. See you there!

Our camp is back, more people, even a bigger dome this year. We will amplify on the idea of shiny silver mylar balloons that circulate around the dome like coins in a dryer. Also we will have more lasers and lights and a better power system to help run the ring of lights and the main sign. We will serve luxuries to our visitors and regale them with poetry from our small stage.
See you all there! Eric, Marilyn, Steve, Sandra, Richard, etc. etc. etc...

Viking Feast

Well, Thursday the Valhalla and Space Vikings camps are having a pot-luck Viking feast. Come on along! The more the merrier! We've tentatively set that at 7:15 to accomodate the Snowflake Village daily social hour.
What the heck is a VIking Feast anyway? We're still not sure. The dead Vikings in the mythical Valhalla thought that pork and mead were the epitome of haute cuisine, so I'm brining a canned ham and some mead. Spam works too. (spam, spam, spam, spam...) Laura, Mistress of Pain and Pleasure was looking for Viking Helmet shaped pasta, the last I heard. The Viking meals we had back in college were "served" without plates or utensils: you just hose yourself down afterwards, but I'm not sure that will go over. Hey, it's potluck! Anything you think has a tenuous link to medieval Norse culture will be fine. Or whatever you find at the bottom of the cooler, we're not picky. Just come and have fun.
OK, that's one day out of the way. How about the other 6?

I've seen small hand cranked snow cone machines for sale at places like Target / Kmart. Price is typically around $25. You can get gallon size flavoring bottles with pumps at resteraunt type supply stores (Gordon Food Service, Smart & Final).

Well Jim that could be your thing then......I'm thinking a nice Frangelico snow cone would be good. Or a apple schnapps one......Why not investigate/experiment with this? I've got way to much shit to do myself......

Okay, Detroit (Cacaphony, BurningMime) has awoken from our winter hibernation. Planning, regional visits, fire spinning lessons, and crazy welding sessions are underway!
After camping behind you last year, we would like to officially join Snowflake Village for 2001. What you can expect from us: 2 airpowered drag racers (will need to be on the playa across from camp); a fire shower; an interactive game show "Respondo"; psycho mimes; fire spinning; a full playa professional kitchen set up; 2 domes; possibly an RV; a sun shower set up; and a likely count of 8-12 crazy Detroit Campers! Looking forward to participating with all of you. Cooky cynthia_jones@prodigy.net

In the village, the quiet village, the lion sleeps tonight, so that probably means we're not making enough noise. Hey, Eric! I just noticed the new village map and model. Looks great! Since the burn is less than two months away, is there any new news we should know about Snowflake Village? What's happening? What do you need? What is the meaning of life? What is the meaning of nightlife? How about sex life?
What can we villagers do to help make Snowflake happen?
