The uber kids are coming back to the Snowflake fold...no roller coaster this year instead we're bringing an entire little town. A big thing we call (un)Safety Town. This was all inspired by our memories of elementary school and a little town set up on the playground (Safety Town) where the cops and firefighters and McGruff the crime dog taught us to stay safe and we crashed our tricycles into each other for fun. Well, in (un)Safety Town we bring our vision of Detroit to the playa and populate it with circus freaks and bums and a few streetwalkers. And, we give you places to hang out and interact and perform. Imagine a city built out of approximately 8 foot by 8 foot by 13 foot tall buildings. The buildings include a crawl through "Liquor Lotto Deli", an adult book store, a church, a little goth dance club, a train station, and a casino. In a seperate 10x10 foot building we'll have a little bar type gathering area with stripper poles. In addition to the buildings we'll bring our 16 foot x 8 foot x 4 foot tall stage to host performances. We have a variety of classes and interactive times brewing for the week including nightly spin jams, a performance by the Fire Fabulon fire and circus arts troupe, 10 second freak shows, a mini-Hoe Down, and the Michigan Burners cocktail gathering. We understand that much of our content is a bit edgy and adult so we'll be signed and staffed accordingly. Ubercarney will be composed of 30 or so folks mostly from Michigan but also including New Yorkers, Los Angelinos, and some from New Orleans and Florida. Many of us are veteran Burners but we're also bringing some fresh faces to the playa this year. We have concrete experience building our projects, cleaning up and making sure our stuff is taken care of. We'd love to be placed next to Videogasm since we'll be sharing trucking and their theater experience flows beautifully with the (un)Safety Town entertainment district. We expect our earliest arrival to be on playa Saturday, with a bulk of us coming in Sunday to be ready to roll Monday night. Our latest arrival will be coming on playa Wednesday.
